Aluminum Alloys 6061 and 2024: Effect of Heat Treatment on Mechanical and Vibration Properties
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper investigates the relationship between 2024 and 6061 aluminium alloys' dynamic characteristics (natural frequency and dynamic response) and mechanical properties (yield and ultimate strength, elongation, hardness, and modulus of elasticity) under impulse loading in order to study the effects of heat treatments. The research made use of a number of methods. During the first stage, experimentally analysing the effects of different heat treatments on the mechanical properties and natural frequency of the aluminium alloys. Section two of his study included mathematically (using a finite element technique) calculating the natural frequency of an aluminium plate and comparing the findings to experimental ones.
